BEO is free to play, where anybody can create an account and begin to explore and level up a basic robot character.

If you want unique traits, races, and in-game utility, however, there are characters available for purchase on the blockchain. There are three tiers of character, common, rare, and epic. A character merge took place where two commons were merged to a rare, and a common and rare could be merged into an epic character. The first character reveal introduced 6 races of characters. Once your character has ventured into the Metaverse that is Beyond Earth Online, you will be able to show off your traits to other players.
